Concertina barbed wire is a type of barbed wire that is designed to be more difficult to climb over or cut through than traditional barbed wire. It is made up of two or more twisted strands of wire with sharp barbs spaced along the length of the wire. The wire is then coiled in a way that creates a spring-like structure, which gives the wire its distinctive "concertina" shape.

The design of concertina barbed wire makes it particularly effective for use in security applications, such as on the top of fences or walls, or as a barrier to prevent access to restricted areas. It is usually used as security fence on the top of the existing fences or solid walls, in ditches on roof of tops or by itself on the ground. Concertina barbed wire can be attached onto almost all kinds of wire mesh fencing, such as chain link fence, welded wire fence, palisade fence or expanded metal fence to achieve high level security.
